Scarlet Mormon ~ Papilio rumanzovia ~ Framed Butterfly

The Scarlet Mormon is a large and impressive butterfly. The blue-black velvety wings feature a bright red pattern resembling eyes. 

This butterfly has been deep framed against textured wallpaper, painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue. The deep shadow frame creates great visual impact, and while it can be hung on a wall the frame is deep enough to be freestanding. It is one of a kind!
