Blue Banded Swallowtail ~ Papilio nireus ~ Framed Butterfly

The Blue Banded Swallowtail is found in Saharan Africa. The dark wings are highlighted by a shimmering green-blue band which runs the full length. This specimen has some flight wear to the tips of the forewings which simply adds to its character. 

This swallowtail butterfly has been paired with a Pantone shade of Faded Denim which represents the wing tone. Framed in a shadow box frame for maximum impact, it can be hung on a wall or added to your bookshelf. It is one of a kind!
